As our chairman, Dan leads Nueterra with an entrepreneurial enthusiasm that is highly infectious. Since 1989, Dan has been in the business of working with physicians and health care systems to develop surgery centers, as well as surgical and community hospitals. His experience as a CPA providing professional and consulting services to physicians gave him real-world insights about the unique business needs of doctors, and inspired him to start Nueterra. Because Nueterra is a private company, Dan can devote his time to providing strategic direction, as well as motivational leadership and support to the management team. However, he doesn't believe in ivory towers. To keep attune with the challenges and aspirations of health care providers, Dan always makes time to visit with Nueterra's partners and those considering working with his company.
As CEO of Nueterra International, Steve oversees all aspect of the company's operations, and provides guidance and strategic direction. He has been responsible for structuring the current business model and gaining the commitment of key personnel to dedicate 100 percent of their efforts to the business. Prior to joining Nueterra, he launched numerous construction, technology and education businesses with offices throughout China and the Caribbean.
Tammy was named senior vice president in 2011, after many years as a senior executive within Nueterra Healthcare. In her role, Tammy is responsible for developing the physician partnerships that drive the success of Nueterra facilities, and helping develop the business and strategic plans that are essential for long-term success. She founded Ambulatory Surgery Assistance, Inc. in 1997 and subsequently developed more than 20 surgery centers in 11 different states. Tammy has more than 20 years of health care experience, in nursing, administration and consulting. Tammy's expertise includes project management, process design and implementation, operational efficiency and development.
David joined Nueterra Healthcare International as president of the Middle East/North Africa region, where the company is undertaking its first projects. David has more than 25 years of international health care experience in both operations and education. He has worked in the United Kingdom, North America, Central America and the Middle East, including serving as senior advisor in Health Policy and Regulation in the Health Authority Abu Dhabi. Most recently he was president of an international health care consulting firm. David earned a Ph.D. in health care administration from Capella University.
Dan joined Nueterra Healthcare International in 2011 as senior vice president for tertiary care services. In this role, Dan, who has more than 15 years of hospital operations and strategic development experience, will continue to develop NHI's network of leading U.S. hospitals to provide specialized, tertiary care to patients of Nueterra Healthcare International facilities. He joined Nueterra in 2010 from Ochsner Health System in New Orleans. A graduate of Randoph-Macon College in Virginia, Dan has a master's degree in Health Services Administration from the Medical College of Virginia.
Mary, formerly a project director for Nueterra Healthcare, joins Nueterra International as vice president of operations design. She is responsible for designing and managing the implementation of processes to ensure that all of the company's facilities provide patients with quality health care services. Mary has an extensive background in health care administration, performance improvement, leadership development and strategic planning. Mary has a Master's from Webster University, is a Wharton Fellow of the University of Pennsylvania and is a Fellow in the American College of Health Care Executives.
Meghan, formerly a project manager at Nueterra Properties Group, joins Nueterra Healthcare International as vice president of facilities design and construction. She has specialized in project management and interior design for more than 12 years. Her focus has been on The Healing Environment and the overall concept of patient-centered design. Meghan's experience includes turnkey operations, large hospital and complex phase renovations and new construction. Meghan is a graduate of Southeast Missouri University with a degree in Interior Design and is NCIDQ certified.
Rejeanna joined Nueterra Healthcare International in 2011 as the vice president of project development for the MENA Region. She brings more than 25 years of experience in health care in the U.S. and Middle East, including serving as director of quality management for a large tertiary care facility in Abu Dhabi. Most recently, Rejeanna served as CEO of a health care management consulting firm. In addition to her consulting and operations experience Rejeanna has clinical experience as an intensive care nurse. She has a master's degree in health care administration from Phoenix University.
